Branden Roddick: The bible says that God hates divorce.  It does say that divorce is permissible if a spouse is unfaithful.  Regarding if a husband beats his wife there is not a very precise verse that I know of.  There are many verses that say how a husband is supposed to treat his wife.  He should love, honor and cherish her according to the bible.This is one of those situations where you must take the whole counsel of God and make wise decisions.  Whether it happened once or on a consistent basis will determine different resolutions that need to be done.
