Is bidding on auctions a form of gambling?

Hai Biggart: Yes, quibids, but you pay for each bid so they get a bazillion dollars.

Deangelo Marchak: I would say no. The highest bidder always wins. so they get something out of it, if they lose the bid they dont lose their money too.just the object, but it can be addictive.

Donny Bankson: no, at an auction, you bid on an item. you indicate the price you are willing to pay for something. gambling is nothing more than taking a chance....you pay for the opportunity to take a chance...you win or loose. hope this explains it for you

Laveta Fathy: No, it is not gambling. It is just making a purchase.BUT compulsive shopping CAN be an actual addiction, and if someone is uncontrollably buying things, they may have a problem. If you know someone like this, it is an issue that should be dealt with.

Daren Ventrice: No. The outcome of ebay is you purchase an item. It's no different then shopping. It can become a comnplusive addiction like gambling, but it! is not anywhere near the same as gambling.

Ronny Nowzari: it sure seams like it i sell on eBay and people fight for things tell the last second of the action its great i am loven it right now (holidays)

Rona Espalin: No. It's a form of purchase. You don't pay anything unless you actually purcahse the item. In gambling you have to pay whether or not you receive the item. You pay for a chance at an item.

Moira Woodrow: No way gambaling is when your drunk! LOL! Just make sure your not bidding on illegal things!
