Any good graphics/video card for gaming?

Leif Andreason: For max framerates in World of Warcraft and Counter Strike, you don't need a card that high-end. Also, cards in the $100 range require a 450W power supply, while cards in the $150 range need more like a solid 600W unit. So your budget may need to include a new psu. For those games, even an $70 card like the Radeon 4670 (which only needs a 300W power supply) is more than powerful enough.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...If your existing power supply is 350W, your options improve again, starting with the $85 GeForce 9600GT:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...In addition to the Radeon 4770 and low-power version of the 9800GT, which both run about $100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...For even faster models like the GTS250 or Radeon 4850, you'll have to budget for a new psu, like this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...For a Radeon ! 4870 or GTX 260, go with this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8......Show more

Georgia Dees: buy a 9800gt for around 100

Warren Kotter: I like the 4890 at Newegg.com but that might be more than you need. Its at the top of the power chain and will be about 200 dollars. The 4870 is a bit cheaper if you need to come down in price but still powerful.

Dexter Dicostanzo: What do you have now?(yes, video and graphics card are the same thing). If all you want to do is max WoW and CSS then you don't need a $150-$200 card, but here:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...more than enough, and you can save the difference for something else.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PCI-E SLOT OR THIS CARD WILL DO YOU NO GOOD.Feel free to email me if you have any questions about any of that....Show more
