Octavio Roylance: If you are investing in penny stocks because you do not have very much capital, I suggest that you check out one of the discount brokerages (Charles Schwab, for example) and see their transaction costs. For under $10, you can buy stock. You can buy only one share, if you want. If you buy only a few shares of an inexpensive stock, you are planning on its going up a fair amount to cover even the $10, but it is a very good alternative to the penny stock situation, which is mostly wild gambling....Show more
Neville Dautremont: When you invest/trade in penny stock you should never put up more than you can afford to loose and you should assume you will loose it all. Unlike regular securities, penny stocks usually do not let you use risk cutting procedures (options and/or stop orders) since most are not traded in a regulated market place. They say when you buy securities you have a 50%-50% chance of making money, when you buy penny stocks you have a 50-! 50-90% chance, 50-50 chance of making money and a 90% chance of loosing money. When buying penny stocks, like any other security investment, you never invest 100% of you investing capital. Penny stocks are fun to trade, but you should never count on them to be considered part of your primary investment objectives. All that said, here are some websites that you will find helpfulhttp://www.smallcapinvestor.com/http://www.stockwire.com/http://alphaking.com/http://www.otcstockexchange.com/http://www.mcapstocks.com/Default.asphttp://www.pinksheets.com/pink/quote/index.jsphttp://ragingbull.quote.com/cgi-bin/static.cgi/a=i...http://www.swingtrades.com/...Show more
Veta Slicker: Investing in any penny stock is a gamble as opposed to a good investment. A stock is priced under a dollar when the company does not have a good record, a good earnings return, or good sales. So investors tend to stay away from them unless they are worth a price that makes sense for investing.I thoug! ht to look around for some good candidates that were less than! a dollar and should be priced higher than a dollar, but was discouraged after looking at 32 of the best candidates I could find. The current market has been upbeat since September and now that Thanksgiving has gone, I would think we are due for a few weeks of a falling market. I don't know how soon, but I would think January will not be fun for investors....Show more
