Miguel Koczela: Brighten ( i would assume) means make your skin more colorful. If you have pale skin, it could mean it's just fair, like, it doesn't have any 'volume' to it. Look at the difference between the girl's skin in this picture:http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&tbo=d&biw=...On the right, her skin is 'bright'; it's more colorful than the skin on the right, and on the right it's light. Lol, it's not the best example. I would say Candice Swanepoel has brighter skin. God bless :)...Show more

Mahalia Brindle: It sounds the same, but some products marketed as skin brighteners actually a! re targeting hyperpigmentation. So they really are supposed to even your skin from acne scarring, or flaky skin, and such. Skin lightening, I would think is the skin bleaching deal, which if applied correctly, could still even your skin tone with out making you look like Lil Kim, or some other celebrity that looks ridiculous from too much bleaching.Of all my skin product junkie trials, I've found that you should stay away from anything that has hydroquinone over 2%, and you can't use it for prolonged periods. Most things over 2% are prescription only anyway. More natural stuff that is said to work are products with lemon, and fruits that have high antioxidant qualities....Show more
