Giovanna Sherlin: Aeolus ----- found on a greek mythology siteAeolus 2 lived in the floating Island of Aeolia, around which there was a wall of bronze. Some say he had twelve children (six sons and six daughters) and that he gave his daughters to his sons as wives. Happy Life Being a favourite of the gods, Aeolus 2 spent all his days in feasting and banqueting with his wife and children. For luxuries never failed in this happy place. this is from wikipedia This Ãolus lived on the floating island of Aeolia This Ãolus was perceived by later authors (i.e., after Homer) as a god, rather than as a mortal and simple Keeper of the Winds (as in the Odyssey).Charybdis----this is what i found in wikipediaIn Greek mythology, Charybdis or Kharybdis (Greek â" ΧάÏÏ Î²Î´Î¹Ï) was a sea monster, daughter of Poseidon and Gaia. She takes form as a monstrous mouth. She swallows huge amounts of water three times a day and then belches them back out again creating whirlpools. Charyb! dis was originally a naiad, sea-nymph who flooded land to enlarge her father's underwater kingdom, until Zeus turned her into a monster. He was angry that she was taking so much of his land and made it so that she would be incredibly thirsty three times a day and suck in the water. The myth has Charybdis lying on one side of a narrow channel of water. On the other side of the strait was Scylla, another sea-monster. The two sides of the strait are within an arrow's range of each other, so close that sailors attempting to avoid Charybdis will pass too close to Scylla and vice versa. The phrase between Scylla and Charybdis has come to mean being in a state where one is between two dangers and moving away from one will cause you to be in danger of the other. Between Scylla and Charybdis is the origin of the phrase "between the rock and the whirlpool" (the rock upon which Scylla dwelt and the whirlpool of Charybdis) and may be the genesis of the phrase "between a rock and a hard ! place".good luck i hope this helpsi would say they are both tr! ue although i don't know about charybdis being beautiful or not she was a beautiful daughter of Posiden but made Zeus mad so he turned her into a sea monster. dosn't say she was still beautiful or not....Show more
Renay Billiar: Idea - read the mythology. Occasionally a little research will help you later in life.
Mauro Cowee: 1. True sort of, although I'm not sure if Zeus appointed him to his post or if he was mortal. I'm also not sure on the location of the island he lived on. He did live on an island with his wife and 12 kids and he was the keeper of the winds.2. True, for sure.
Russell Mckinzie: Do your own hwk, you won't learn anything this way.
Jill Thomer: look in your history book or google it........stupid????!!!!!!!
Serita Hefferon: 1 is true.2 is true
