Cell phone on an airplane?

Debora Rinderer: don't risk it dont use it

Tracy Huesso: a few weeks ago my phone was lost/stolen. today i got the replacement and it is the same kind of phone, an lg shine. on my old phone i had no problem downloading ringtones from myxer.com but now when i try to connect to the link it acts like its going there but then it says forbidden! and the same forbidden! thing when i try to use other internet. i dont think my parents set any sort of control so is there anys setting or something on my phone that i can change?

Corey Rohleder: i think that it would be bad becuase the cell phone is still on and tring to get a signal and i don't think the airline would allow it

Season Confalone: The whole cell phone thing on airplanes is a bunch of BS. It doesn't really mess anything up.However, silly as it may be, it is a rule.Be practical, just keep the ringer off, and no one will bother you while you play your mp3s.

Hans Sachetti: Cell Phones should not i! nterfere with the radio signals. If you want to be safe, take out the antennae (if you can take it out). You can also take out the little chip installed that helps find a source. You should be fine...but don't let the stewardesses find it.

Bob Pucella: if you have GPRS enabled phone then go to m.youtube.com and try to find your fav. video for viewing and saving directly in you cell phone.

Eli Trapeni: You can't use your cellphone on the plane because it interferes the radio signals, and I don't think there's a way of turning off the cellphone but the mp3 is on coz it's part of the phone. Just use your IPod.

Tosha Tawney: i don't think so call the airlines to be sure but i think u might still have to shut ur cell and use ur ipod...

Lue Podewils: I would ask Verizon about this.

King Bringle: well I found a very nice vid on youtube and I enlarge it, then recored it to my cell phone, the thing is the graphics are low! and the brightness is not that! good,I don't have bluetooth on my cell phone, how do i put the! vid in my cp?

Dalia Causby: what you should do isz lyke wait a week or two and then take it baq to verizon and say ur internet wasz working just fine and then it all of a sudden didnt work .and then they'll give u a total new 1 . p.s. dont tell ur parents either cusz then they wont take u to get a new 1 unless they r lyke totally kuel!...Show more

Truman Biby: There are certain times on a plane where you can have electronic devices on.. If your phone has flight mode, like mine does (Nokia 5300-xpress music) then you should be able to have it on throughout the whole flight. But, if not.. you aren't supposed to.. but I know people do anyways.

Shawn Lelis: Well, you just did but as you said it's of low quality and I think aside from the PC-to-Mobile transfer there are no other options that I know of.Edit: Btw, you could try using another person's cp and record it there. Enable both of your (MMS) multimedia sending capabilities from your network provider an! d send it from his/her cellphone to yours. Hope that helps....Show more

Clemente Schoeck: Two reasons are usually cited. One is possible interference with the airplanes navigation electronics. The other is the way cell phones work. As the plane flies very fast the phone would have to switch cell towers very quickly, overloading the cell phone system.

Bethanie Menden: Yep, just put you're phone on airplane mode. It should be somewhere until the tools menu. If not, try the settings but it's in there. That will allow you to use all the functions of the phone except calling, texting, and the internet.

Emile Okafor: every phone needs a setting your phone also need setting . you can get it from customer care call them and ask for your setting

Javier Holsonback: The Chocolate (and all Verizon phones) has an option int he settings and tools menu that either says Airplane Mode or Stand Alone Mode. Turn that on while in flight and that makes it so ! all functions in your phone work (music player, camera, games...) excep! t anything that requires service (phone, txt, vcast...)I heard they are trying to get rid of the no cell phones on planes rule but since it is still a law - make sure you stay safe.If you can't find the setting in your phone, you can stop into a Verizon store and they will be able to show it to you.Enjoy your flight!...Show more

Emile Midgley: I want the new MotoRokr phone but I need some info on it. Where do I buy one, how much is it, and is it compatible with iTunes? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I saw the Rokr commercial and I've been hooked since.

Julieta Suleiman: music files from itunes are drm-laden. in order to play them on mp3 players or mobile phones other than ipod and iphone, you need a special program to help strip off the protection and convert the itunes m4p, m4b, m4a music to mp3. i always use tuneclone. my friend introduced it to me. it automatically generates a virtual cd burner, with which the music files can be converted at ve! ry high speed. you can learn more about it from:http://www.tuneclone.com...Show more

Rodolfo Merel: If you go into the menu you should have an option that allows you to turn off only the cellphone

Jeremy Donohue: i dont know but i woldnt chance it you might make the plane crash or something the reason they say no cell phones is because the signal messes with the plane and like can cause some serious rpblem like .......KABOOM!
