I don;t think it's a good idea to teach Chaucer, as the language in that text is way too old to be relevant, but you could certainly teach newer text - it helps teach the culture and helps familiarize students with the flow of the language, which is incredibly difficult to master when you just teach it using rote memorization and grammar parsing and all that boring stuff. I looked into this when I was an English teacher once upon a time. You might not be directly teaching Lit, but I see no reason why you could not use it as an adjunct.One caveat - some of those countries are not wild about Western literature, especially books that condemn religion, which many do. My little girl is now in the four year old class...we started at the school when she was three and she was in my friend's classroom. This has been the perfect job for me! I go to work with my child, I know where she is and make a little money as well. In addition to being around my own child, I have helped to educate other sweet little boys and girls. Truman Biby: There are certain times on a plane where you can have electronic devices on.. If your phone has flight mode, like mine does (Nokia 5300-xpress music) then you should be able to have it on throughout the whole flight. But, if not.. you aren't supposed to.. but I know people do anyways.
