what style do portland university soccer play?
answers1: There style of play is closest to Arsenal Mens team. They
pass a lot of short passes they try to control the tempo by having
tons of possession in the attacking half and final third. They have
been beat by physical play but unless the player is super fast the
half backs can usually track back to cover the long balls. They hardly
ever shoot from outside the penalty box and a large amount of their
goals are scored by Danielle Foxhoven and Michelle Enyeart. <br>
<br>
If you want to know about the Men's team I don't go to those games. <br>

I am assuming you are asking about the University of Portland, in
Portland Oregon.

Beauty is more important than brains?
answers1: In today's society.. <br>
A little bit of smarts are oh-so-nice <br>
A little bit of beauty adds some spice. <br>
Beauty gets you started in the race <br>
But ,brains always finish in first place...;)
answers2: Do not let society stir your mind, like everything else
beauty vs intelligence fluctuates, but beauty is seen as a depiction
of intelligence, so when you see something that is naturally beautiful
and lacks intelligence, it's importance lowers a vast amount, which
may depend on the interpreter but is true. i think the roles of beauty
and intelligence differ as well, so in my view beauty inspires
creation, and intelligence creates it. but even without beauty
significant creations can spawn from intelligence <br>
<br>
so intelligence to me is more important...
answers3: No, the term "beautiful' is slowly expanding to include more
and more people, But brains are definatley more important and if your
friends dont think so you probably have the wrong friends!
answers4: A balanced combination of beauty and brains is very ideal.
However they are not a requisite, it is compatibility and empathy
that counts.
answers5: You can only get so far on looks. And they soon fade, you
know...and not everyone thinks the same way about someone's looks.
What's beauty to some people maybe ugly to others.
answers6: you need brains to use the beauty efficiently for things you
wants. Its called persuasion ;)
answers7: Beauty alone is no better or worse than brains alone. it is
an advantage of a sort that will become a liability if isn't coupled
with something more. That's just as true for brainiacs. <br>
<br>
But to answer your question, brains is more important than ever in a
rapidly growing ever more technological and mechanistic society. But,
in turn, I would submit that makes beauty even more valuable. Whether
it's the beauty of the human body or of nature and the elements. It
might be a portrait, a sculpture, a photograph, a piece of music, an
athletic play, a theatrical production, a moment of slapstick comedy.
<br>
<br>
Beauty becomes more valuable and its contemplation becomes more
necessary as the world moves away from us at warp speed. <br>
<br>
So I would say brains are more important but beauty is more valuable
in today's society. <br>
<br>
Take care.
answers8: of course beauty is more important, Just look how society is
brainwashed by magazines and whats on tv
answers9: In today's society,Beauty definitely went more presents in
importance than 20 years ago,but alas without people with an IQ higher
than 120 were doomed.
answers10: Beauty was never more significant than brains. <br>
Beauty is not more significant than brains. <br>
Beauty will never be more significant than brains. ()

are women stronger in the lower body then a mans lower body?
answers1: I wouldn't say the woman is stronger than the man, BUT
proportionally, women have more lower body strength and men have more
upper body strength.
answers2: what pixeie said... guys still have stronger legs than us..
.but proportionally, we have stronger lower bodies compared to our
upper bodies.
answers3: Women simply aren't stronger than men. And the fact that
there are a few exceptions here and there just isn't enough to even
make any real difference. So unless you're a woman who wants to body
build or take steroids, you're just as well to accept it. I like men
being stronger. Why do so many women have such a hard time with this?
answers4: watch the women jump on this. mens bulk is above the waist.
theirs is below the waist. did you everdo this? stand arms lengths
from a wall, bend over with your hands at your side and touch your
head on the wall. men can't straighten up, women can. because the lead
is at the bottom. the last line is a joke.

Body fat? Muscle mass? how to figure ?
answers1: You can purchase a body fat tester online, Prices vary but
are not that high. <br>
<br>
<br>
Try <br>
<br>
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=body+fat+tester&x=0&y=0
<br>
<br>
Goodluck
answers2: To determine body fat, you need to have this checked. The
most accurate way is with water displacement, but it's not that
practical. You can go to a nearby gym and have them check you with the
calipers. <br>
<br>
Once you have your body fat percentage, you can figure out how much
lean weight you are. While this won't tell you exactly how much your
muscles weigh alone (it includes bone mass, internal organs, blood,
etc.), checking your body fat and weight regularly will show you how
much muscle you've gained since you aren't going to gain more in bone,
skin, blood, or organ weight. <br>
<br>
<br>
Here's an example. <br>
<br>
*BF Check 1: You are 25% body fat. <br>
*Weight Check 1: You weigh 200lbs. <br>
*Calculation for Lean Mass: 25% of 200lbs is 50lbs, so you have 50lbs
of fat and 200 - 50 = 150lbs of lean mass. <br>
<br>
*BF Check 1: You are 20% body fat. <br>
*Weight Check 1: You weigh 190lbs. <br>
*Calculation for Lean Mass: 20% of 190 is 38lbs, so you have 38lbs of
fat and 190 - 38 = 152lbs of lean mass. <br>
*Calculation for Muscle Mass Gained: Current Lean Mass - Previous Lean
Mass = Muscle Mass Gained. In this case, 152 - 150 = 2lbs gained in
muscle. <br>
*Calculation for Fat Lost: Current Fat Weight - Previous Fat Weight.
In this case, 38 - 50 = -12, meaning you lost 12lbs of fat. <br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Hope this helps. <br>
<br>
P.S. Pay no attention to the BMI. It's complete BM-Bullsh*t. It was
never intended to judge health or fat, but just for statistical
purposes of height-to-weight ratios in an area.
answers3: well typically you want to do one or the other but not both
at the same time I dropped down from 180 to 154, now I'm back up to
170 with the muscle I packed on... First of all you'll want to eat an
all natural diet, and focus on your training. Stick to a caveman diet,
meaning no complicated foods. Meat, eggs, plants, nuts, berries,
that's it. Wholegrain oats are okay too. Once you get down to a good
weight then add designer whey protein to your diet and take it after
workouts and before you go to bed. In order to lose the fat you'll
want to do an aerobic workout that includes *some* weight lifting. I
got into muay thai and brazilian jiu jitsu which has done wonders for
my physique, and I take some of the exercises I've learned from there
to the gym: warm up: *run on the treadmill for 1 mile *200 jumping
jacks *do your stretch routine and hold each stretch for 20 seconds
work out: *200 jumping jacks *50 knee raises each knee *20 burpees *10
pull ups *200 jumping jacks *40 push ups *stair climber for 20 minutes
or run another mile cooldown: *100 crunches *50 leg lifts *100 sit ups
now stretch out your abs Also if you want to lose fat you can't eat so
much... I could go on and on, but I'll stop here. You should lose fat
and build some muscle with this routine; feel free to modify it to
your needs.

Do you use body butter or body lotion ?
answers1: I like body butter , but I prefer lotion ... I think you
should only use 1 thing
answers2: I use body lotion on my whole body and for my stretch marks
I use coco butter...so I use lotion and then body butter but I don't
suggest using body butter all over though because it's thick and
should only be used for stretch marks or super dry skin I think...
answers3: what! u have to wear them both?! id didnt know that...
answers4: I only use lotion
answers5: you don't have to do both. Body butter is for really dry
skin because it is thicker and has more moisture. Lotion is for
regular skin.
answers6: Lotion only here.
answers7: Well if you use both then use the lotion first. The butter
gives a more finished look. But I prefer the body butter.
answers8: I love body butter's better and i use organic cocoa, shea,
or avocado body butter's because organic butter's are free of harsh
chemicals that could be harmful or irritate to the skin. If
interested, i will leave a link next to sources to where i get all my
body butters from. Good luck and i hope this help. <br>
<br>
1) Avocado body butter add an excellent moisturizing attributes on
dry, peeling, and cracked skin while exhibiting low comedogencity on
the skin. Contains the antioxidants vitamins A, E, and D which help
kill off free radicals that causes aging skin. Daily application of
this wonderful body butter will leave your skin moisturize and soft.
Your skin will feel silky, smooth, and protected from the effects of
aging and environmental pollution. <br>
<br>
2) Cocoa butter is considered an occlusive emollients. This means
that when applied to skin it leaves a thin layer of oil across the
stratrum corneum. This layer of oils acts as a protective barrier,
slowing the natural escape of moisture from the skin, resulting in
less dry skin.The additional moisture also helps soften the skin,
which may help prevent the irritation and inflammation of the skin
disorders like eczema. <br>
<br>
Dry skin occurs when there is not enough moisture present in the
outermost layer of the skin called the stratum corneum. Dry skin is
commonly cause by dry winter air, wind evaporation, indoor heating or
skin thinning due to natural aging. whatever the cause, you can treat
and nourish your dry skin with cocoa butter. <br>
<br>
<br>
3) Shea butter is extracted from the nut of West Africa's wild karite
tree. Its high in content of essential fatty acids and natural
anti-oxidant compounds provide extreme moisturizing capabilities as
well as cellular restoration. shea butter is full of naturally
occurring vitamin A, E, and F which will moisturize, soften dry,
cracked skin naturally. <br>
<br>
Shea butter has proven successful in the treatment of various skin
ailments including eczema and psoriasis and in some cases rosacia.
Helps to restore elasticity to the skin. works wonderfully on razor

should only use 1 thing
answers2: I use body lotion on my whole body and for my stretch marks
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
3) Shea butter is extracted from the nut of West Africa's wild karite
tree. Its high in content of essential fatty acids and natural
anti-oxidant compounds provide extreme moisturizing capabilities as
well as cellular restoration. shea butter is full of naturally
occurring vitamin A, E, and F which will moisturize, soften dry,
cracked skin naturally. <br>
<br>
Shea butter has proven successful in the treatment of various skin
ailments including eczema and psoriasis and in some cases rosacia.

What are inclusion bodies?
answers1: Inclusion bodies are nuclear or cytoplasmic aggregates of
stainable substances, usually proteins. They typically represent sites
of viral multiplication in a bacterium or a eukaryotic cell and
usually consist of viral capsid proteins.

<br>
Inclusion bodies are nuclear or cytoplasmic aggregates of stainable
substances, usually proteins. They typically represent sites of viral
multiplication in a bacterium or a eukaryotic cell and usually consist
of viral capsid proteins. <br>
<br>
Protein inclusion bodies are classically thought to contain misfolded
protein. However, this has recently been contested, as green
fluorescent protein will sometimes fluoresce in inclusion bodies,
which indicates some semblance of the native structure and researchers
have recovered folded protein from inclusion bodies.[1] [2] [3] <br>
<br>
Mechanism of formation <br>
<br>
When genes from one organism are expressed in another the resulting
protein sometimes forms inclusion bodies. This is often true when
large evolutionary distances are crossed: a cDNA isolated from Eukarya
for example, and expressed as a recombinant gene in a prokaryote risks
the formation of the inactive aggregates of protein known as inclusion
bodies. While the cDNA may properly code for a translatable mRNA, the
protein that results will emerge in a foreign microenvironment. This
often has fatal effects, especially if the intent of cloning is to
produce a biologically active protein. For example, eukaryotic systems
for carbohydrate modification and membrane transport are not found in
prokaryotes. The internal microenvironment of a prokaryotic cell (pH,
osmolarity) may differ from that of the original source of the gene.
Mechanisms for folding a protein may also be absent, and hydrophobic
residues that normally would remain buried may be exposed and
available for interaction with similar exposed sites on other ectopic
proteins. Processing systems for the cleavage and removal of internal
peptides would also be absent in bacteria. The initial attempts to
clone insulin in a bacterium suffered all of these deficits. In
addition, the fine controls that may keep the concentration of a
protein low will also be missing in a prokaryotic cell, and
overexpression can result in filling a cell with ectopic protein that,
even if it were properly folded, would precipitate by saturating its
environment. <br>
<br>
Viral inclusion bodies <br>
<br>
Examples of viral inclusion bodies include Negri bodies (which are
intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies of Rabies virus in neurons) and
Cowdry bodies (which are intranuclear inclusion bodies seen in Herpes
Simplex Virus and Varicella-Zoster virus infection). <br>
<br>
Inclusion bodies in Erythrocytes <br>
<br>
Normally a red blood cell does not contain inclusions in the
cytoplasm. However, it may be seen because of certain hematologic
disorders. <br>
<br>
There are three kinds of erythrocyte inclusions: <br>
<br>
1. Developmental Organelles <br>
1. Howell-Jolly bodies: small, round fragments of the nucleus
resulting from karyorrhexis or nuclear disintegration of the late
reticulocyte and stain reddish-blue with Wright stain. <br>
2. Basophilic stipplings - this stipplings is either fine or
coarse, deep blue to purple staining inclusion that appears in
erythrocytes on a dried Wright stain. <br>
3. Pappenheimer bodies - are siderotic granules which are
small, irregular, dark-staining granules that appear near the
periphery of a young erythrocyte in a Wright stain. <br>
4. Polychromatophilic red cells - young red cells that no
longer have nucleus but still contain some RNA. <br>
5. Cabot Rings - ring-like structure and may appear in
erythrocytes in megaloblastic anemia or in severe anemias, lead
poisoning, and in dyserythropoiesis, in which erythrocytes are
destroyed before being released from the bone marrow. <br>
2. Abnormal Hemoglobin Precipitation <br>
1. Heinz bodies - round bodies, refractile inclusions not
visible on a Wright stain film. It is best identified by supravital
staining with basic dyes. <br>
2. Hemoglobin H Inclusions - alpha thalassemia, greenish-blue
inclusion bodies appear in many erythrocytes after four drops of blood
is incubated with 0.5mL of Brilliant cresyl blue for 20 minutes at
37°C. <br>
3. Protozoan Inclusion <br>
1. Malaria <br>

how much skin is too much skin?
answers1: Well... I guess it depends on where your going. I think
showing a lot of skin...gives out the wrong impression about yourself.
Females could be sexy without showing a lot of cleavage, wearing
short shorts, wearing tiny shirts that shows their stomach, and so on.
Even if you do have the body for it. If your out in public... a guy
will only look at your body...not anything else. And therefore... you
ended up attracting a guy that only wants a piece of meat. We could be
sexy but yet classy at the same time.
answers2: It depends upon the circumstances.

skin care?
answers1: I use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are <br>
available online. These work wonders. <br>
Maybe it will work on you too. <br>
Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'
answers2: follow a routine such as: morning: cleanse moisturise (with
spf15 or above moisturiser) evening: remove makeup with a baby wipe
(won't irritate) treat problems moisturise remember to look for
moisturisers that are 'non comedogenic' or 'non acnegenic' as these
ones won't block pores, causing skin problems. i'd recommend the
Neutrogena Ultimate Moisture moisturisers. there is a day one with
spf15 and a night one. both are non comedogenic. also, the active soy
in them can help with the scars. for a cleanser, id try something from
Avene, which is a great brand for sensitive skin, or Simple if you
would prefer something cheaper. Vichy is a very effective brand as
well. for a home remedy, after removing makeup with a baby wipe in the
evening, apply honey for 20 minutes. it is moisturising and calming,
and can help get rid of any blemishes or blemish scars. remember to
eat well, exercise and drink lots of water as what you put in shows on
the outside!!
answers3: Using the advent of technology nowadays, skin clinics are
offering intensive skin treatment services for anybody who would like
to achieve the ideal, flawless look they need. However, not most of us
can afford to undergo these special treatments so we now have no
choice however to resort to basic skincare tips, coupled having a

<br>
First, keep your skin from too much sun whenever possible. Sun
exposure might get you that suntan line you've usually wanted, but its
rays may cause wrinkles, age places, and even improve risk of pores
and skin cancer. The sun's ultraviolet sun light are strongest in
between 10 a. m. and 4 g. m., so you need to seek shade during these
hours. For additional sun protection, use sunscreen by having an SPF
of a minimum of 15. On outdoor actions especially those involving
plenty of sweat or floating around, reapply sunscreen cream every 2
several hours. <br>
Looking after the skin does not simply involve slathering lotions and
lotions throughout your skin. Additionally, it entails lifestyle
routines. An important skincare regimen which lots of people ignore is
to prevent smoking. Smoking narrows capillaries along with other blood
vessels across the outermost layer from the skin, which limits the
actual passage of blood flow and therefore, air. Smoking also affects
collagen and elastin that are the fibres accountable for skin strength
as well as elasticity. On the entire, smoking can trigger wrinkles and
can make skin look old, so if you are a smoker and also you want
healthy pores and skin, you might wish to ask your doctor for tips
about how to quit it as quickly as possible. <br>
Next, you should ensure that you treat your pores and skin gently.
Frequent cleansing as well as shaving will usually take its toll in
your skin, so to maintain it smooth you have to be careful in dealing
with it. First, always limit your bath time for you to 5-10 minutes.
The reason being long exposure in order to showers and bathing will
remove important oils that look after your skin. Also avoid trouble,
as well because strong soaps as well as detergents. Next, ensure that
you shave carefully. Apply lotion or even cream beforehand and shave
within the direction your hair keeps growing: not against this. <br>
Lastly, your regimen include eating a healthy diet plan and managing
tension. Eating the right types of food (e. g. fruits, vegetables,
whole grains) can make you feel and look your best. Research says
which Vitamin C and low-fat intake will result in younger looking
pores and skin. Next, stress will really cause extra pores and skin
sensitivity and bring about acne breakouts in addition to lots of
additional skin problems.

what kind of makeup is good?
answers1: Highly recommend the mineral makeup. As far as inexpensive
try Loreal.
answers2: try avon products,they have all kinds of makeup for all
kinds of skin types.they also offer the bare minerals line thats is
wonderful for senstive skin, check out this webpage
www.youravon.com/jkillion,you can also get shipping for a very low
price.
answers3: loreal makes a liquid foundation....it's called true
match...it looks awesome when you put it on and it is not drying at
all...it also comes in several shades...the only drawback that i've
found is that it has to be reapplied once or twice a day but i,
personally, do not use powder so that probably would help....it's
around $8-$10 i think at walmart...
answers4: Highly recommend the mineral makeup. As far as inexpensive try Loreal.
answers5: bare minerals
answers6: A very good type of makeup is mineral makeup. Mineral makeup
doesn't contain any harsh chemicals or fillers like other makeup
contains. And it's proven to be good to your skin as it won't irritate
it or cause any breakouts. Mineral makeup is made from natural
occurring minerals and contains spf 15 and that's it. I use everyday
minerals and it's the best! It's smooth, silky, and gives you that
flawless model look without using much. Plus it's natural feeling as
if you have nothing on!
answers7: My suggestion ust find one thats right for your skin at the
drugstire...make up is cheap there.
answers8: MAC is a good brand to use. It's a bit expensive but its
worth it! This is your face dont use cheap products that are not good
in quality. I use there face power and concealer only so far and i
spend about $50 bucks but it last for a year which is not bad.
answers9: I love MAC. they r the BEST and price wise i think its
alrite. has good coverage...
answers10: The best brand is Mary Kay. Not only do they have multiple
shades of foundation, but there are multiple types as well. I'm sure
you'll find a perfect match. You will probably use a "full-coverage"
foundation since you are worried about dry skin. Getting your make up
to look flawless is easy with a personal consultation when you sit
down with your very own beauty consultant. And the make up is not
very expensive at all! Actually in a lot of cases, it is
significantly less than most department store brands! You can log on
to the Mary Kay web site to find an independent beauty consultant near
you.

answers1: i prefer no makeup because when i kiss a girl, i don't want
to get a mouthful of makeup. that's gross
answers2: well eyeshadow and stuff is sexy ;) umm.. it is attractive
when it is done properly.. you have to be subtle with it and it is
waay better.... but on some girls makeup is less good than no makeup
answers3: None
answers4: Makeup is OK for special occasions. But I want to see the
REAL beauty, not the paint and powder.
answers5: depends on who she is and what makes her feel and look good.
im not applying the makeup so it doesnt matter to me, as long as she

do makeup gurus wear a lot of makeup?
answers1: I wouldnt consiter my self a guru haha but I do make make up
videos, I don;t wear much foundation though, but tons of concealer,
because of my eye bags. You can see how much I wear in this video and
judge for your self ! I hope I helped! <br>
<br>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtQSYCHTxeY
answers2: What Juju said was absolutely correct, but don't take makeup
gurus as idols, be normal & don't wear anything that's bad for your
skin, unnecessary or will grab unwanted attention.
answers3: Since most youtube beauty "Gurus" are making video TUTORIALS
they take you through each product they use and each step of the
makeup process so you can see how each step is done (and depending on
whose makeup tutorials you watch there can be a whole lot of steps and
products used to create a flawless look), so when they get through
they tend to have on more makeup then the average person wears, since
most of of us who watch these tutorials tend to pick and choose which
technique and products we want to use or experiment with or we may not
choose to do a full face routine so we don't end up with as much
product on our faces, also i watch all types of makeup tutorials (from
beginners to advanced, i support everyone) and i know that lighting
isn't always an issue with everyone, however they still cake on the
makeup for the sake of showing people how to achieve a certain look
they are creating, i'm guessing they don't wear all that makeup on a
daily basis to school or to work, it's just for the sake of the
tutorial they are creating. Jlovesmac1 is a comedian, she is funny,
she was just over exaggerating for comedic effect, i'm sure she
doesn't wear that much makeup, that much weight would have her face
sliding down to her chest lol if she did.
answers4: Yes. :)
answers5: naaaah. jlovesmac1 is a funny girl ^____^ i doubt she wears
that much makeup lol
answers6: Yes. and they take it off with a sandblaster
answers7: lol no, she kids around alot, so it might be an
exaggeration. most of them do, as it makes them look more presentable
on camera.
answers8: There are different aspects in to which their face would
look "flawless" on camera. I've performed multiple times and caking
makeup and being flawless are two different things. Lighting is also
involved in making videos. As well as camera quality and editing. All
of these principles have a certain role within being projected as
flawless. So no I don't believe you have to wear tons of makeup to be
considered flawless. Makeup gurus most of the successful ones, have
been around for a while and know the tricks into looking "flawless."
Hope I helped.

does hair straighter make damage to hair ?
answers1: yes they will damage your hair over time, even more so if
you use them very often. I know some people use them everyday which
isn't a good idea at all. When you do use a straightener though the
best thing to do is to always use a heat protecting product on your
hair before you straighten it. This will help prevent some of the
damage. Also deep conditioning your hair at least once a week is
always a good idea for people who do a lot of heat styling. Another
tip would be if you have a straighter that you can adjust the heat on,
try to use it on the lowest setting possible that will get your hair
straight. I know some people turn their settings way up thinking that
it will straighten their hair better but really all it will do is
damage your hair more.
answers2: Hair straighteners damage your hair. <br>
Always use conditioner after washing your hair, I also suggest hot oil
treatments one or so a week
answers3: Use a very stable thermal protection product and a directly
iron. I dont relatively advise a chemical straightener becuase you may
probable frizz from it and in the adventure that your hair does tend
to frizz they have a expert product from Chi it is noted as shine
infusion it relatively is a thermal sharpening spray that provides you
with the terrific of the two worlds plus it makes your hair shine.
answers4: no The only way it'll be damage is if you dont keep it
moisterized every day. also dont put alot of heat all the time too
much heat will be damageing. so its okay for straightners but justb
not all the time
answers5: it's not helping. maybe try working with your curls. try
the mixed chicks system (www.mixedchicks.net). their products
eliminate frizz and make nice curls. and if you want to straighten
for a day, use their deep conditioner before you iron, then add a
little of their shine serum (hair silk) once it is dry. hope this
helps.

What accessories would go well with my grad dress?
answers1: nicely i think of u ought to placed on silver shoes with a
strappies and silver accesories.....maybe ideally flat through fact
the guy is shorter than u are and ur tryin nt to make him seem quite
shorter than he's, whilst he stannds next to u if ur donning heels
answers2: You can also wear the crystal locket . which increase your look
answers3: why don't u make a side bun, it will pep up ur attire as u
just said ur dress looks more or less professional, so i think the
side bun will make it more party party kind :D also if u want, u can
add a flower to the bun :) <br>
<br>
and regarding the accessories. I think u shud skip the necklace and
just wear a bracelete and earrings. If you want a classic look, you
should layer pearl bracelets and gold bracelets along with gold
earrings. For a more edgier look, you should wear black chunky,
jeweled bracelets with black earrings. Gold heels for the classic look
and black heels for the edgier. <br>
Or u can also wear a diamond (artificial) big earrings wid a diamond
bracelet. And go for silver peep toes or pumps ;) you can also add a
belt as per the color of the accessories And ur way to go :D
answers4: I LOVE the current trend of flowers in the hair. So
feminine. If you can't find one ready-made that you like, just stop
by a craft store and buy one. A little hot glue and a hair comb, and
voila!!! <br>
<br>
HOWEVER...if you will be wearing a cap and gown, I find that nude
stockings/naked legs look retarded. You should consider what your
photos will look like with the cap/gown on. You should probably look
for some colored tights. Icing (the grown-up version of Claire's) has
colored crochet/fishnets that could work for you. <br>
<br>
I would suggest a loose chignon for hair, if they will have you in a
cap. Anything else frankly looks stupid in photos. Wearing your hair
down will cause it to poof out like a mad scientist (if
curly...especially in the heat/humidity) or like a wet dog (if
straight). Pulling it straight back makes you look like a pinhead in
a gown that was designed for guys.

just wear a bracelete and earrings.
A little hot glue and a hair comb, and
voila!!! <br>
<br>
HOWEVER...if you will be wearing a cap and gown, I find that nude
stockings/naked legs look retarded. You should consider what your
photos will look like with the cap/gown on. You should probably look
for some colored tights. Icing (the grown-up version of Claire's) has
colored crochet/fishnets that could work for you. <br>
<br>

English help please. "seasonal accessories" makes sense?
answers1: In america, and europe, we have four seasons, winter,
spring, summer, and fall. Summer is all shorts, bright colors, at the
beach, body baring, light colors,intense colors,, fall, is autumn
colors, and back to school stuff, winter is of course, cold weather
accesories, and sometimes jewel toned, x-mas stuff, new years flashy
stuff, spring, is more pastel, but fun, mixing the seasons, this would
take a bunch to go into . <br>
<br>
Gloves, scarves, fall winter, hats, winter, sunglasses, summer
answers2: "Seasonal accessories" can indeed make sense for these
items, if you are displaying them for a certain season (spring,
summer, autumn or winter). <br>
<br>
If they only pertain to one particular season, you might state this
more directly: <br>
<br>
cold-weather accessories <br>
warm-weather accessories <br>
winter accessories <br>
etc. <br>

What are generally the easiest arts / humanities / social sciences majors?
answers1: Easiest major would be sociology and communications. This
is why you see student athletes major in these two areas foremost --
even without regular studying you can pass by with a C grade just by
doing a one hour cram session. <br>
<br>
Arts and humanities can actually be hard if you lack the talent.
Humanities in particular requires one to be a pretty good writer and
not afraid of reading books cover to cover, else you will suffer big
time. Arts can be a very punishing area if you don't have the passion
for it, requiring a ton of time to finish your projects which never
end, only to be given a subjective comment by the prof that what you
did totally sucks and worthy of a D.

Characterized the Egyptian art. What aspects of their lives & experiences are expressed in arts?
answers1: their beliefs
answers2: I presume you mean "ancient" Egyptian art? During the
dynastic/kingdom period(s)? I suppose there was art of the people,
as compared with temple/religious/royal art -- but the latter is far
more fascinating. The art depicts the gods and goddesses going about
their "business", even sometimes involving "mere mortals", especially
the royal families. The art was expressed in paintings - tomb, temple
and otherwise, and statuary, some of monumental scale. All in all, a
remarkable body of work, appropriate for beings associated with other
star systems.

What is art?
answers1: when one thinks of art, they think of teh creative arts(
music, dance, etc.) But art is more than that. In my opinion, art is
putting your own individual spin on something, whether that is
science, music, or even the art of conversation. The art of humanity
is everywhere, whether or not we realize it.
answers2: What is art? <br>
The expression or application of human creative skill and
imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture,
producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or
emotional power.
answers3: Art is anything you think it is it could be a star doing
something Or a painting in a museum <br>
Art is something beautiful <br>
Art is something clean <br>
A drawing of a flower <br>
Or a dried flower <br>
Art is any thing
answers4: art is an expression of the human condition. but i feel that
there has to be an aesthetic dimension before it can be art. otherwise
the term is meaningless. i think that art , like poetry, (which is
also an art) to be worth the name of art, must convey some emotional
response in the viewer, which is independent of political, racial, or
elitist beliefs. at least,l i believe that is what great art is. if
it makes me catch my breath, i beleive its art.
answers5: If you do anything different from other with best effort
that it become your art....think.
answers6: well girlfriend art can be anything that you want it to be
and anything that you want can be art. <br>
<br>
Case in point. While living in Ottawa Ontario I attended the Royal
Museum of Art to see the new million $ piece that was recently
acquired. I was shocked to see a huge canvass of white with a stripe
of red across it. WTF <br>

Director or someone important with livestock or something because this
is not art.......imo anyways. It must have been blackmail. <br>

or what about pieces of tin hammered together to form a shape that to
most discerning patrons is incomprehensible at best. <br>
<br>
I prefer a painting of a beautiful woman (clothing optional) or a
seaside landscape or a watercolor of wildlife or a still life photo or
a handwoven tapestry or a handcrafted native Eskimo soapstone or
native Indian arifact see to me those represent art. <br>
<br>
But like beauty ... art is in the eye of the beholder ... or the main
room of the Royal Gallery in Ottawa.
answers7: Generally, art is the human with emotion and imagination as
characteristics, to grasp and reflect the world, said his own on the
Internet and, a special way of relations between the two views.
answers8: Not what it means to everyone else apparently. I detest
people that say "everything is art", "all art is beautiful", and "you
don't have to have talent to be a great artist". These people have
denigrated the quality of art in circulation and have invited a whole
plethora of people with zero craftsmenship to produce "art" on par
with smeared pig feces, sometimes they are smeared pig feces. <br>
<br>
Also, if everything is art, then the word "art" no longer has any
qualitative meaning as referring to one thing rather than another.
There needs to be a giant amputation of infiltrators and impostors
from the art world. I'm thinking a giant purge to set things straight
so that people stop the rape of the aesthetic and use art as a
political instrument, or passtime to validate themselves when they
have nothing else to offer the world.

Art project due in a few days,HELP?!?
answers1: This is related to the Big Question of What is Art which
....has no definitive answer. I would consider points like: <br>
<br>
- grafitti is art becasue it is aesthetically pleasing <br>
- grafitti is art becasue is requires the acquisition of visual arts
skills such as moving the spray can around which is the equivalent of
brush skills, it requires a pretty good knowledge of fonts, colour
theory, modelling and so on <br>
-graffitti is art becasue we can easily differentiate everday tagging
(which we can characterise as inept drawing skills or people still
training in the visual arts) from accomplished street paintings and
accomplished font work (really elaborate tagging). <br>
- graffitti is art becasue art is not defined by what it is painted on
or where - if the ancient rock hand paintings of Lascaux are art - is
not grafiitti <br>
-grafittie is art becasue in modern times we dont define art by
technical accomplishment - therefore if Rauschenbergs work is art - is
not grafitti. <br>
-grafitti is art becasue we dont define art by how difficult it is to
intellectually appreciate - its not and never has been intended as
high brow and so just as Andy Warhols work is easy to "get" by the
general public - so is grafitti <br>
-likewise if a topic like Marilyn Monroe (Andy Warhol) ,an icon of pop
culture, is an appropriate subject for Art is not a subject like the
IRA murals in Belfast on the side houses art (search on IRA, Belfast,
murals for examples of what I am talking about) - therefore grafitti
must be art <br>
- art is not defined by its legality. The fact that grafitti is
illegal is irrelvant. <br>
<br>
Enough?
answers2: Is there whatever designated you ought to base the drawing
on ? If that is so, just opt for out some thing essential inside that
theme, and draw somthing symbolic . If now not: 1. Draw what you more
often than not draw, what you are just right at . 2. Anything that
makes the man or woman who sees it suppose, whatever inspirational or
emotional, perhaps ?
answers3: Maybe elaborate on the different styles more. Techniques,
Major influences, materials, periods, highlight some artist. How long
do you have so far? The history and styles should eat up like ten or
12 minutes alone.

Which Art Class Would Be Best?!?
answers1: Art 1 if you have no experience. <br>
Graphic, Digital art if you do.
answers2: If you haven't had much exposure to formal art classes, a
semester of Visual Art can be VERY helpful in learning design
fundamentals like composition, balance, color theory an, of course,
some drawing skills. <br>
<br>
If you are already comfortable with your drawing and painting skills,
then I recommend the Dimensional Design.anf Sculpture class. People
often forget that real fashion design is not just laying pretty
pictures over flat paper dolls. A jacket not only covers the front,
but it also wraps around the sided an across the back. A designer
needs to consider all dimensions of a person and how materials are
"built" to fit the space in the exact same way a sculpture is made.
This class could be extremely helpful and give you some advanced
learning and experience in fashion design. <br>
<br>
Good luck and have fun.

What are a few visual art careers that i could follow?
answers1: sounds like community art might be the way to go for you.
there's a growing appreciation of building communities and reaching
out to the 'common' people in art. you're 'using' art to heal people
that weren't aware of how great their life could be if only they
opened up to themselves and each other.
answers2: If you are good enough ,you could try doing portraits of
people That does pay well.But you must be good at it .
answers3: Illustrations for books or book covers? <br>
portraits <br>
set design like paintings or props and things like that for films
answers4: The thing about art therapy is that you'll want to go to a
program that makes you LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) eligible.
That way you can get a job as a regular mental health counselor (no
lack of jobs there!), and use art therapy. No other career will use
art and therapy the way you want.

what are some visual arts created by, about, or for . during the period or after the russian Revolution 1917?
answers1: The Russian Revolution of 1917 had been brewing since at
least 1904. The Tsarist regieme did try to adapt a more western style
of goverment, even forming a Duma (Parliment) but this was not enough
for a number of groups that hated the ideas of Monarchy. The 1914
battles and subsequent loss of Land, the German interferance and
finally the Finland Station action where the Germans introduced Lenin
back from Exhile into the Russian State was the final act to an
already destroyed country. Ironically the Russians where on the verge
of creating the same situation the Germans found themselves in 1942,
logistics stretched to full, insurgents creating problems in rear
areas and no extra troops to spare. If they had stayed in the War,
then with the Actions on the Western Front and other theatres of
conflict there woud have been a quicker defeat and no Kaiser Battles
of 1918.
answers2: The most important one to know is the "Monument to the Third
International", which was a piece of architecture. It was never
actually built, but a model was and it is mentioned in virtually all
modern art history text books. Vladimir Tatlin was the Architect. It
was designed both for media and state purposes - having places for
government officials to meet/work as well as radio broadcast and
telegraph. The "Third International"; just to give you some background
knowledge, was also known as the "Communist International", or
"Comintern", and the purpose of it was suppose to be to spread
Marxism-Leninism throughout the world via revolution; all the original
"Communist" parties of various countries were formed with its help and
a part of it. <br>
<br>
Next you should check out the "Constructivism" and "Suprematism"
movements, which used geometrical shapes and patterns to
metaphorically portray social change and movements of the masses. The
person to really know here is Alexander Rodchenko. <br>
<br>
Basically after Lenin died and Trotsky was exiled from the Soviet
Union and Stalin began to accumulate more and more power these
Avant-garde modern art movements in the USSR began to be replaces by
"Socialist Realism"; which stoically attempted to portray the everyday
lives of workers, peasants and soldiers as well as idealistically
portray national leaders like Lenin and Stalin ... as well as founders
of Marxism; Karl Marx and Frederick Engels. Lenin was against the
building of a cult of personality in this way, but Stalin used Lenin's
image to propagandize the idea that he was "the Lenin of today"; i.e.
kind of Lenin's "disciple" and most brilliant student - even though
Lenin essentially said he would be a dangerous man to have power after
he died in "Better Fewer, but Better". <br>
<br>
Later on in the 1930's Mexican artist, Diego Rivera, did some murals
which portrayed socialist ideas; such as "Man at the Center of the
Universe" which was commissioned by Rockefeller and can still be found
at Rockefeller Center in NYC today. <br>
<br>
As for early avant-garde Soviet music check out Alexander Mosolov
"Iron Foundry", also known as "Op. 19", which is referred to as
"Factory machine music". Most people think Industrial music began in
the 1970's with bands like "Kraftwerk", but really it has its deepest
roots in very Early Soviet composers like Mosolov. <br>
<br>
Hope that helps.

Any good acting schools?
answers1: All good training is done on stage and for stage. <br>
If you won't do that, you aren't cut out to be an actor. Once you've
graduated from drama school you could choose to specialise, but very
few actors can be that fussy - they'll take any paid work they can
get! <br>
And it's far easier to get experience to build up a good resume by
doing stage work - there's very little TV or film work available for
beginners. <br>
Any acting student who said no stage acting would find it really hard
to get into a good school, get an agent or get experience. <br>
The stage is where real acting happens. Almost all great actors do
stage acting - and most actors really love it - they say there's no
feeling like performing live on a stage in front of a real audience!
<br>
Think again. Don't limit your potential.
answers2: Don't go to NYFA. <br>
that school is mainly for the filmmakers to work on the actors.. <br>
Go to an actual acting school, not a college that teaches acting. <br>
There are plenty of GREAT acting classes here in Los Angeles.

Greek Theater?
answers1: You want to know about ANCIENT theaters? Or just ANY
theater? There are many ancient theaters in Greece that you can visit
as a tourist. They are all basically the same shape and style,
semi-circular and built into the side of a hill. The most famous and
largest, Epidaurus, still shows performances of the ancient Greek
plays. There are also theaters in Phillipi and Thassos where you can
see such plays. <br>
<br>
Some theaters, like in Athens, show modern entertainment performances.
The theater of Herodos Atticus hosts the theatrical, musical, and
dance components of the Athens Festival, which runs each year from
June through September. It also hosted Yanni's "Live at the
Acropolis" performance in September of 1993.

What is Contemporary Poetry?
answers1: Contemporary poetry is not the same as modern poetry. Modern
poetry refers to the modern period (about 1900-1939). The contemporary
period, by contrast, started around the end of world war 2. Sources
differ on whether it ended in 2001 or is still going today. My
personal opinion would be the latter.

period, by contrast, started around the end of world war 2. Sources
differ on whether it ended in 2001 or is still going today. My
personal opinion would be the latter.

What can you do with a major in philosophy?
answers1: I wouldn't go for philosophy. There are really no jobs in
this field. Unless you're Plato or Thomas Hobbes.
answers2: it's not very good for job wise but look at George Soros. He
studied philosophy and he is a millionaire. There is always an
exception.

philosophy question on hellenism, pls help?
answers1: That's a good question, and the answer is that this stage of
philosophical thought is called "Hellenistic", well, pretty much, for
lack of a better name. <br>
<br>
After the death of Alexander the Great (323 BCE) neither the
philosophy of Plato nor the Peripatetic tradition established by his
student Aristotle prevailed in philosophical thought. Instead, three
opposed, but nevertheless Greek, traditions persisted: Stoicism,
Skepticism, and Epicureanism. So the intervening philosophical era
became known as Hellenistic Philosophy. So Hellenistic philosophy is
Greek in terms of its culture, but it contains three distinct
components. <br>
<br>
Now, it's interesting that this happened, but after the battle of
Actium in 31 BCE (Octavian over Mark Antony), late classical interest
in Platonism revived. Subsequent to that, interest in Aristotle's
philosophy came back to life as well. So there was a revival of
ancient philosophy and the transition period that we call Hellenistic
Philosophy came to a close.

"Accessible" philosophy books?
answers1: Bertrand Russell wrote a "History of Philosophy" that is
accessible. Much has happen since he wrote the book in the early 20th
century but it is useful as a starter. <br>
<br>
I ordered another book for my summer reading that appears to also
cover the development of modern philosophy of science, "The Cambridge
Quintet". It promises to be readable and enjoyable. See:
http://www.amazon.com/Cambridge-Quintet-Scientific-Speculation-Helix/dp/0738201383/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
answers2: I would recommend Peter Cave's "Philosophy Without the
Boring Bits" as an easy, cheap introduction to the large problems of
modern philosophy. It's very pop philosophy though, and will likely
leave you wanting for something meatier. <br>
<br>
In that vein, along with the history of philosophy books mentioned
above, there are some excellent introductory texts to specific fields.
Richard Taylor's "Metaphysics" covers God, free will vs. determinism,
and the mind/body problem. James Rachels' "The Elements of Moral
Philosophy" is a good introduction to modern ethical debate. All of
these are academic quality, but parsed down enough for layman
understanding. Newer editions are generally expensive, but an older,
cheaper edition shouldn't be an issue if you're just looking for a
basic overview. <br>
<br>
Finally, for philosophy of religion (an incredibly difficult book to
get any real "good" introduction to) I would recommend Andrew
Pessin's "The God Question"
answers3: i don't understand in case you're attentive to Philip ok.
Dick, yet right this is an attractive web site: decrease than unique
content there's a class referred to as Exegesis which has a number of
his unpublished fabric packed together with his philosophical theory.
there is likewise a catalogue of videos created from his memories
which includes "A Scanner Darkly" and "Paycheck". i come across this
guy to be deeply philosophical and his works to be fairly theory
scary. one among his final books, "Valis" covers countless theory on
the subject of his own visionary adventure in 1972 and the
resurrection in 1945 of the Nag Hammadi Library.

Has science replaced philosophy?
answers1: i am not sure if you have read this but i sort of found it
interesting but the language was hard to understand <br>
<br>
whny my english improves i will give it a try <br>
<br>
http://www.theguardian.com/science/2012/sep/09/science-philosophy-debate-julian-baggini-lawrence-krauss
answers2: Why must one replace the other? Each has merit; each has its
place. Both are needed to do what the other cannot.
answers3: disagree it is alive in our heats
answers4: No. Science is really Applied Philosophy and there are
places it's application can't touch. <br>
<br>
Science rests upon the assumption that there is a Universe outside of
ourselves to be studied, an assumption borrowed from Philosophy, an
assumption that can't ever be established by Science itself. <br>
<br>
Science is also not very good at things like 'Meaning' in relation to
Language and similar things. Meaning shifts too quickly and the data
involved, language itself, is too widespread, almost omnipresent.
<br>
<br>
Philosophers have, on the other hand, shown a great deal of brilliance
in the area of language. Writing texts, some very recently, that have
greatly changed the way a large number of academic subjects operate
(History, Psychology, Geography, Sociology, Linguistics, Translation
Studies, Literature, and Law to name but a few).
answers5: Stephen Hawking said it because he complained about
philosophy not writing about physics. He thinks that philosophy is
exclusively about physics obviously. <br>
<br>
Similarly as you, obviously.

im on a waiting list for a performing arts high school?
answers1: i could pass there otherwise ill pass to that terrible
undesirable college dunedin severe, optimistically ill get into palm
harbor and and its an remarkable college? do u understand everyone
thats going there?
answers2: It's hard to say - it would mean that someone who was
offered a place would have to turn it down - and that does sometimes
happen, if they've auditioned for more than one school and get offered
more than one place, and decide to accept the other school. <br>
Or possible someone can't get the funding they were expecting -
anything is possible. You have a chance. You'll just have to wait
and be as patient as you can. <br>
Awful, isn't it? My sympathies! <br>
But I really hope it happens for you - good luck! <br>

Is Chicago Performing arts academy a scam?
answers1: Chicago performing arts academy, in my eyes, is a scam.
Either that or they really just want to take your money because they
wanted me to pay $500 that same day I got there and when I got the
call, they never mentioned anything about money, they told me that I
was gonna be there, along other people my age, in a free acting
workshop, but when I got there I only read one script and the gay guy
there looked like he didn't even care about my performance
because it really wasn't that good and I acted terribly on
purpose to see his response and he kept saying it was
"awesome!" So I felt some phony in him, then after that they
made me watch a video about how "great their academy is" and
about all these people who are successful thanks to them. It was
basically a video advertising their STUPID establishment. Anyway, went
I was being interviewed by sima, she looked sofake in eeverything she
said and she was so insisting that I'd join
answers2: There is no place with this specific name in Chicago. There
ARE performing arts schools and colleges in the area, but nothing is
called the "Chicago Performing Arts Academy." <br>
<br>
Please re-check the SPECIFIC name and spelling.

Performing Arts Schools!~?
answers1: I do not know about San Francisco or TN, but there is a
great School, American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. When it
comes to performing arts in the states you really want to be in
southern California or New York, New York. Also check out Berkeley
College of Music in Boston, MA. Wonderful music school (if you are
interested in that). Hope that is a little helpful.
answers2: Hmmm I'm a professional musician, and it sounds like you're
also aspiring to be one. I am sorry that I don't know any performing
arts schools in New England ( I presume you mean at the HS level?) But
the way to find out is to call the local Conservatory in your town -
perhaps the Boston Conservatory - Or try the New England Conservatory
- or how about Hart School of Music in Hartford Conn- someone at these
institutions will be able to direct you to the right place, or they
may have what you want themselves.
answers3: complicated point. try searching on to google or bing. this may help!

different cultures making lives from themselves over right here yet
black human beings have been right here knowledgeable ourselves that

beginning agencies, courses, and businesses. now and back it style of
sounds like Racist persons are mad that we've made a manner for

answers2: Boy will they be surprised if they make it to Heaven. as we
will all be the same. . No guest of honor or special months There .
Guess those that hate us so bad want make it . and vice versa.
answers3: Every month is white history month. <br>
<br>
Filipino history month is in October. <br>
<br>
Asian Pacific history month is in May.
answers4: If we did not allow African Americans their month Al
Sharpton would go on the war path. <br>
<br>
As someone else said, "white guilt" is the only reason why we have a
BHM or BET or Black Miss America, or Ebony magazine, etc......if it
was not "allowed" we would be considered racist. It's all
reparations....so to speak.
answers5: the aclu wuld never let us have a white history month. they
would call that racism
answers6: It's a politically motivated attempt to elevate the status
of black people. The "history" will be told in a way that represents
them well and whites badly so that we become black sympathisers. <br>
<br>
If I was black I would have nothing to do with it! <br>
<br>
There are some amazing black people who do good in the world. But I'm
not going to deny there is an obscene amount of violent crime in that
community that is a disgrace. Poor role models or not, almost every
London stabbing last year was black-on-black or black-on-someone.
answers7: Tired, tired, tired question. You know exactly why. Every
month is white history month. There is an hispanic history month
Sept 15 to Oct 15 and signed into law By Ronald Reagan. <br>
<br>
If you understood anything about history at all then you would know
that it is always written and controlled by the powerful. But without
other perspectives we are doomed to repeat it. There is nothing wrong
whatsoever in shining light on other perspective of Heritage and
history from time to time. White people have that every day.
answers8: National Hispanic Heritage History Month: Sept. 15 - Oct. 15
(enacted into law in 1988) <br>
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month: May (made a month-long
celebration by Congress in 1992) <br>
Filipino American History Month: October (not yet an official
government celebration) <br>
Irish-American Heritage Month: March (enacted into law in 1991) <br>
Haitian Heritage Month: May (not federally enacted, but celebrated in
many large cities) <br>
Jewish American Heritage Month : May (announced by GW Bush in 2006) <br>
National American Indian Heritage Month: November (declared by Pres.
Bush on 1990) <br>
Italian Heritage and History Month: October (currently only celebrated
in New York)
answers9: We do have a Hispanic day or month I think, many went to
Tucson to burn the American flag and when an America burned the
Mexican flag guess which one got arrested? <br>
I have nothing against black history month because we have a lot of
black American who should be recognized. The schools have quit
teaching almost all history or they distort the facts about history.
<br>
It may be to late to regain our schools from the far left ideology and
the indoctrination of our schools children, and why all for power.
answers10: because that would be Racist to have anything but Black
history month that doesn't honor black people in history like the
tuskegee airmen.
answers11: I think there is an Hispanic Heritage month. I don't have
it marked on my calendar, but I think it is in autumn. We honestly
don't need a White History month. I'm sure other races have their
places on the calendar, but Black History Month gets the most press
and probably inspired the trend.
