Art project due in a few days,HELP?!?

- grafitti is art becasue it is aesthetically pleasing <br>
- grafitti is art becasue is requires the acquisition of visual arts
skills such as moving the spray can around which is the equivalent of
brush skills, it requires a pretty good knowledge of fonts, colour
theory, modelling and so on <br>
-graffitti is art becasue we can easily differentiate everday tagging
(which we can characterise as inept drawing skills or people still
training in the visual arts) from accomplished street paintings and
accomplished font work (really elaborate tagging). <br>
- graffitti is art becasue art is not defined by what it is painted on
or where - if the ancient rock hand paintings of Lascaux are art - is
not grafiitti <br>
-grafittie is art becasue in modern times we dont define art by
technical accomplishment - therefore if Rauschenbergs work is art - is
not grafitti. <br>
-grafitti is art becasue we dont define art by how difficult it is to
intellectually appreciate - its not and never has been intended as
high brow and so just as Andy Warhols work is easy to "get" by the
general public - so is grafitti <br>
-likewise if a topic like Marilyn Monroe (Andy Warhol) ,an icon of pop
culture, is an appropriate subject for Art is not a subject like the
IRA murals in Belfast on the side houses art (search on IRA, Belfast,
murals for examples of what I am talking about) - therefore grafitti
must be art <br>
- art is not defined by its legality. The fact that grafitti is
illegal is irrelvant. <br>
