im on a waiting list for a performing arts high school?

answers1: i could pass there otherwise ill pass to that terrible
undesirable college dunedin severe, optimistically ill get into palm
harbor and and its an remarkable college? do u understand everyone
thats going there?
answers2: It's hard to say - it would mean that someone who was
offered a place would have to turn it down - and that does sometimes
happen, if they've auditioned for more than one school and get offered
more than one place, and decide to accept the other school. <br>
Or possible someone can't get the funding they were expecting -
anything is possible. You have a chance. You'll just have to wait
and be as patient as you can. <br>
Awful, isn't it? My sympathies! <br>
But I really hope it happens for you - good luck! <br>

Is Chicago Performing arts academy a scam?

answers1: Chicago performing arts academy, in my eyes, is a scam.
Either that or they really just want to take your money because they
wanted me to pay $500 that same day I got there and when I got the
call, they never mentioned anything about money, they told me that I
was gonna be there, along other people my age, in a free acting
workshop, but when I got there I only read one script and the gay guy
there looked like he didn&#x27;t even care about my performance
because it really wasn&#x27;t that good and I acted terribly on
purpose to see his response and he kept saying it was
&quot;awesome!&quot; So I felt some phony in him, then after that they
made me watch a video about how &quot;great their academy is&quot; and
about all these people who are successful thanks to them. It was
basically a video advertising their STUPID establishment. Anyway, went
I was being interviewed by sima, she looked sofake in eeverything she
said and she was so insisting that I&#x27;d join
answers2: There is no place with this specific name in Chicago. There
ARE performing arts schools and colleges in the area, but nothing is
called the "Chicago Performing Arts Academy." <br>
<br>
Please re-check the SPECIFIC name and spelling.

Performing Arts Schools!~?

answers1: I do not know about San Francisco or TN, but there is a
great School, American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. When it
comes to performing arts in the states you really want to be in
southern California or New York, New York. Also check out Berkeley
College of Music in Boston, MA. Wonderful music school (if you are
interested in that). Hope that is a little helpful.
answers2: Hmmm I'm a professional musician, and it sounds like you're
also aspiring to be one. I am sorry that I don't know any performing
arts schools in New England ( I presume you mean at the HS level?) But
the way to find out is to call the local Conservatory in your town -
perhaps the Boston Conservatory - Or try the New England Conservatory
- or how about Hart School of Music in Hartford Conn- someone at these
institutions will be able to direct you to the right place, or they
may have what you want themselves.
answers3: complicated point. try searching on to google or bing. this may help!

Question about Black History Month ?

answers1: Are you intense black human beings have been right here
longer than just about the different minority communities that is
why!!! the comparable reason white persons are everywhere and function
all there agencies, Are you adult adult males segregating your self??
No!! you have finished alot of objectives and now black persons are
besides. we've our own shows, our own each little thing and we labored
in basic terms as no longer uncomplicated if not extra sturdy to get
it!!! Now different races are doing the comparable. We whine!! What
are you all doing on right here!!!! everywhere i bypass I see
different cultures making lives from themselves over right here yet
black human beings have been right here knowledgeable ourselves that
is why there are maximum of black faculties, getting stable activity,
beginning agencies, courses, and businesses. now and back it style of
sounds like Racist persons are mad that we've made a manner for
ourselves and are available this some distance. nicely guess what quit
your whining and get used to it.
answers2: Boy will they be surprised if they make it to Heaven. as we
will all be the same. . No guest of honor or special months There .
Guess those that hate us so bad want make it . and vice versa.
answers3: Every month is white history month. <br>
<br>
Filipino history month is in October. <br>
<br>
Asian Pacific history month is in May.
answers4: If we did not allow African Americans their month Al
Sharpton would go on the war path. <br>
<br>
As someone else said, "white guilt" is the only reason why we have a
BHM or BET or Black Miss America, or Ebony magazine, etc......if it
was not "allowed" we would be considered racist. It's all
reparations....so to speak.
answers5: the aclu wuld never let us have a white history month. they
would call that racism
answers6: It's a politically motivated attempt to elevate the status
of black people. The "history" will be told in a way that represents
them well and whites badly so that we become black sympathisers. <br>
<br>
If I was black I would have nothing to do with it! <br>
<br>
There are some amazing black people who do good in the world. But I'm
not going to deny there is an obscene amount of violent crime in that
community that is a disgrace. Poor role models or not, almost every
London stabbing last year was black-on-black or black-on-someone.
answers7: Tired, tired, tired question. You know exactly why. Every
month is white history month. There is an hispanic history month
Sept 15 to Oct 15 and signed into law By Ronald Reagan. <br>
<br>
If you understood anything about history at all then you would know
that it is always written and controlled by the powerful. But without
other perspectives we are doomed to repeat it. There is nothing wrong
whatsoever in shining light on other perspective of Heritage and
history from time to time. White people have that every day.
answers8: National Hispanic Heritage History Month: Sept. 15 - Oct. 15
(enacted into law in 1988) <br>
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month: May (made a month-long
celebration by Congress in 1992) <br>
Filipino American History Month: October (not yet an official
government celebration) <br>
Irish-American Heritage Month: March (enacted into law in 1991) <br>
Haitian Heritage Month: May (not federally enacted, but celebrated in
many large cities) <br>
Jewish American Heritage Month : May (announced by GW Bush in 2006) <br>
National American Indian Heritage Month: November (declared by Pres.
Bush on 1990) <br>
Italian Heritage and History Month: October (currently only celebrated
in New York)
answers9: We do have a Hispanic day or month I think, many went to
Tucson to burn the American flag and when an America burned the
Mexican flag guess which one got arrested? <br>
I have nothing against black history month because we have a lot of
black American who should be recognized. The schools have quit
teaching almost all history or they distort the facts about history.
<br>
It may be to late to regain our schools from the far left ideology and
the indoctrination of our schools children, and why all for power.
answers10: because that would be Racist to have anything but Black
history month that doesn't honor black people in history like the
tuskegee airmen.
answers11: I think there is an Hispanic Heritage month. I don't have
it marked on my calendar, but I think it is in autumn. We honestly
don't need a White History month. I'm sure other races have their
places on the calendar, but Black History Month gets the most press
and probably inspired the trend.

answers1: ok......saaa....... <br>
<br>
pratically the history is formed up by 15 periods including
Paleolithic times.............so continued with JOMON PERIOD...which

texture of the potteries which are usually in patterns of
lines....like threads.... <br>
<br>
next is the Yayoi period..........where there r many other types of
new pottery....and agriculture is starting to b introduced...the word
yayoi (弥生) is named after the village where the archealogist first
found some yayoi period artifacts... <br>
<br>
then emerging to ancient classical japan is the yamato period followed
by kofun, asuka, nara and heian periods respectively....this is when
the japanese imperial court ruled......and eventually shinto.......or
by that time still buddhism is first introduced (in the asuka

answers6: at first, Jon meant boxing prolonged because of the fact of
united statescreated its enlargement no longer mandatory based or
chanced on the sport. Get it? Blogbaba, the British didnt invent
boxing, it incredibly is been a game in historical Eygypt, Iraq,,
Iran, even way earlier there have been any civilizations in Europe.
Please be honest and precise in case you have the opt to make
corrections. there's a reason the terrific combatants interior the
background of boxing fights and make claims of greatness right here
interior the USA of a, no longer in Britain or Europe. in any case, as
an American, it means no longer something to me. In fat its even
greater advantageous that boxing is now greater international so human
beings can proportion this game that they popularize to the
international. i like to work out international athletes make it to
the U.S. I even have no longer something against all of us regardless
in the place they got here from. in the event that they're great
athletes, I dont strategies them scuffling with over right here
interior the U.S!
answers7: I think a brief history of Japan is for someone who already
knows Japanese history and has the background to be entertained by
something brief in the style of Jonathan Coulton or Tom Lehrer. When
you're starting from scratch and need a general overview, you want
something more detailed, because something like, "the Kamakura
shogunate began in 1185 and lasted for 150 years," won't make sense to
you otherwise. <br>
<br>
Paleolithic is a fancy name for the stone age. <br>
Jomon they make pottery. <br>
Yayoi they learned to grow rice. <br>
Kofun are the big burial mounds. <br>
Asuka was the rising sun. <br>
Nara established imperial rule. <br>
Heian was the start of Kyoto. <br>
Kamakura the samurai ruled. <br>
Muromachi a return to Kyoto. <br>
Sengoku the warlords roamed. <br>
Azuchi-Momoyama reunites Japan. <br>
Edo was the time of closed off borders. <br>
Meiji saw a rush to modernize. <br>
Taisho got a brief run at democracy. <br>
Showa everything modern happened. <br>

Genealogy? How do I look up my family tree? ?

answers1: If you want to trace your ancestry, Ancestry.Com is probably
the best for total amount of records online. <br>
<br>
But family trees on ANY website, whether free or not free, must be
viewed with caution. They are not submitted by some expert working
for the websites who just go around doing other people's family trees.
They are submitted by folks like you and me. In other words, they are
subscriber submitted and there are errors. Don't expect to find living
people in family trees as that is considered an invasion of privacy
and can lead to identity theft. <br>
<br>
You might see different info on the same people from different
subscribers. Then you will see the absolute same info on the same
people from different subscribers, BUT that is no guarantee at all it
is correct. A lot of people copy without verifying. The information
is useful only as CLUES as to where to get the documentation.
Documentation is the source of good genealogy, not copying what some
distant cousin in your family has uploaded to a website. <br>
Most of the trees online are not documented or poorly documented. You
can make up a family tree and it would be accepted by Ancestry.Com or
any of the other genealogy websites. There is absolutely no way they
can verify all the information in family trees subscribers submit.
<br>
<br>
Whether a family history is online or in a published book, you should
look for the documentation to back it up. There is a lot of
speculation and jumping to conclusion, I'm afraid. Good documentation
is not another person's URL. <br>
<br>
However, Ancestry.Com has all the U.S. censuses through 1930. The 1940
and later are not available to the public yet. They have U.K.
censuses through 1901. They have military, immigration, land and
other records. They have indexes to vital records(birth, marriage and
death) of many states. <br>
<br>
Genealogy is not a matter of putting a name in a website and up there
is your total family tree without errors, all done for you. <br>
<br>
The internet websites can be a useful tool in genealogy. However,
don't expect it to be the soul source of your family history. It is
addictive. It probably will take you many years and you still want to
find more information. <br>
<br>
Ancestry.Com has more than one family tree program if you choose to
use it to put your family information in it. I use the Public Member
Tree and I enjoy it. There oldest program was Ancestry World Tree but
it looks like it has been discontinued. One World Tree is trash. If
you use the Public Member Tree or the Private Member Tree, their
system will notify you of records that they have that probably apply
to your family members. However, they will also notify you of people
in One World Tree. Watch it. Don't automatically accept any names in
your family tree unless you have verified it. They are just providing
you with information from someone else's family tree. <br>
<br>
When they set up One World Tree, they took information subscribers had
put into Ancestry World Tree and tried to combine people with all the
different information they had on that one person. However, I have
seen more than once they have combined two people into one. Why they
haven't scrapped that program, I don't know. <br>
<br>
I find the Public Member Tree a joy to work with. <br>
<br>
You should be the person who ultimately decides what is valid and what
isn't from the reseach and documentation you get, not somebody else's
family tree. <br>
<br>
Your public library might have a subscription to it you can use before
purchasing a subscription yourself. That way you will have a chance to
experiment and get familiar with it. <br>
<br>
<br>
<br>

answers2: Unless someone in your family has a tree on a paid or free
site, there isn't a specific tree on the Internet with your name on
it. <br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.familysearch.org"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.familysearch.org</a> is a free
site and a great place for a beginner to create a family tree. <br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.rootsweb.com"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.rootsweb.com</a> is also free,
and is owned by ancestry.com. <br>
It's a Q&A forum and ancestry subscribers use it frequently to
research their ancestors and to share info with others. <br>
<br>
Ancestry.com will cost you $159.40 annually. <br>
A one month subscription will cost about $20.00. <br>
It's very worthwhile, to me. <br>
<br>
Most public libraries subscribe to a genealogy site, which is free to
library cardholders. <br>
The library isn't always open when I want to research. <br>
They limit my time on the computer and I have to pay for printing any
documents I find. <br>
<br>
The length of time it takes to do the research, depends on how much
information you want to find and how much time and effort you're
willing to put into it. <br>

Why is genealogy a relatively unpopular hobby?

answers1: #1 hobby is probably gardening. I do this when my brain
needs a break. <br>
<br>
Fastest growing may very well be genealogy. <br>
<br>
The problem with genealogy for the uninitiated is an old perception
that genealogy is all about proving that you have a higher status
because you come from "important people." People think that it has to
do with class and a "good" pedigree. This old concept turns normal
people off. <br>
<br>
Despite the problems of genealogical research on the net, the Internet
has made it much easier for "regular" folk to research the history of
their ancestors. That, combined with genealogy's tendency toward
detective and forensic creativity, has led to a broad based interest
among people who generally would not have had the time or finances
available to do research the "old way," like great-aunt Matilda did.
<br>
<br>
My local genealogical society is no longer just made up of elderly
retired folks talking about using the "new" Internet, but also of much
younger people talking about learning the basics of genealogical
methodology. It's wonderful to watch these inter-generational
interactions happen. <br>
<br>
Nor will you will see many magazines echoing the interests of these
new adherents of genealogy. Printed media no longer represents general
public interests, especially when in comes to research in a computer
data-base age. We're too busy reading Dick Eastman's blog online!
<br>
<br>
Have a blast. And don't bore the other members in your family too
much. They're probably into motorcycles, video games, model
railroading, boating, or one of another million endeavors.
answers2: It takes time, work and it isn't cheap. <br>
<br>
Too many people have heard they can find their family tree online.
This is what the regulars are finding out on this board. They don't
know that copying someone else's family tree is a sloppy way to do
genealogy. The internet has been a boon but it has also caused a lot
of errors in family trees. They apparently don't know that just
because they see the same information on the same people over and over
again from different subscribers that no way means it is correct
because of the copiers. <br>
<br>
We have a lot of people asking questions here. They are interested in
their genealogy but just don't know how to get their feet wet. <br>
<br>
Another thing there are a lot of disjointed families today. They
don't hear the old family stories like I did when I was growing up. I
was born in 1935. The regulars on this board are sometimes appalled
at some of the assigments teachers give their students. They don't
seem to realize this can be an intrusion. There are often time things
people are not ready to share with their children which is their
business and their business alone. Some kids because of family
problems will have a very difficult time getting much information.
Some will immensely enjoy it. Teachers should always give an
alternative assignment. Today's families have been broken up too
much.
answers3: Maybe they think it's boring, takes up too much time, is too
complicated, and it's nothing to brag about? <br>
Personally I enjoy it, I even have a nice program that lets you insert
details and pictures for each family member, and you never run out of
space! ;-)
answers4: I think because it is too much work for some people - like
having to take high school history class again. There aren't that many
popular hobbies that require research of any form, scientific or
historical.
answers5: just peoples' different interests, and researching is a lot
of work, but it's worth it!
answers6: Hmmm... I've found that most people ARE interested in their
family history. Just not interested enough to spend much time delving
into it. Most folks are just too tied up with their everyday lives to
give it a lot of thought, or to take the time necessary to do
research. Young people are busy dating and establishing their
careers; parents have their hands full with their kids and earning a
living. It's most often the empty nesters who get involved in
genealogy, because they finally have the time to pursue it. And
that's often the time of life when things like family, traditions, and
the idea of passing something on to our descendants become more
important to us. <br>
<br>
Of course, there are exceptions. I've had the genealogy bug since I
was 15, and people always used to comment on how "young" I was to be
interested in genealogy. (Funny, nobody's made that observation
lately. Hmmm... haha!) I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see a
young person showing an interest, and I love to help them out and
encourage them. <br>
<br>
I do think that, unfortunately, our current generation can get
discouraged pretty quickly. People who've grown up with the internet
are accustomed to finding whatever they need with a couple clicks.
And let's face it, sites like Ancestry do a great job of advertising:
"Learn about your ancestors!" "Find your family tree!" They make it
sound so easy. When people discover that it's a little more involved
than just paying your fee and entering your surname, they tend to give
up. But perhaps that's enough to plant the seed in their minds... and
one day when they have more time on their hands, hopefully they'll
come back and learn to enjoy the thrill of the hunt!
answers7: Yegads! The last I heard, it is the Number One hobby worldwide! <br>
<br>
Where did you get your estimates? <br>
See: <a href="http://psych.fullerton.edu/genealogy/"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://psych.fullerton.edu/genealogy/</a>
<br>
whcih says that 60% of the population of the U.S. is involved in
genealogy. According to some sources, genealogy is the number one
hobby in the United States1. Indeed, the percent of U.S. population
interested in family history has increased from 45% in 1996 to 60% in
2000 according to a recent national telephone survey2. <br>
<br>
Genealogy's popularity is also demonstrated by the number of
genealogy-related World Wide Web sites. One search engine showed 7.2
million hits for the term "genealogy" and 1.8 million hits for the
phrase "family history."3 <br>
<br>
As to its being "relatively easy to research back a couple of hundred
years..." I bet most of the genealogy buffs on this site might tend to
disagree. In my own family, my grandfather's grandfather was born in
the 1760s, died in the 1860s, so, yes, for that one line, no problem
to go back more than 200 years...it's only 5 generations. However,
there are several gaps in my tree only 4 generations ago (early 1800s,
of course) but that is merely because for my tree a generation is
about 30 - 40 years. <br>
<br>
"Official records" began only about the time of the Civil War in the
States; Europe followed afterwards. Even in the States this was not
very common until the early 1900s. Moreover, even today there are
gaps of BMDs. <br>
<br>
It is a costly pursuit, no matter how you go about it. And very time
consuming. Yet there is no doubt about its popularity: <a
href="http://ezinearticles.com/?Genealogy-Popularity&id=2630638"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://ezinearticles.com/?Genealogy-Popu...</a>
<br>
<br>
And, see: <a href="http://www.ancestry.com/learn/library/article.aspx?article=489"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.ancestry.com/learn/library/ar...</a>
answers8: Genealogy IS a popular hobby, but that fact is not widely
known. As a twenty-four year old, I have learned that there are SO
many people doing genealogy research, but I had no idea until I
stumbled upon this underground society, if you will. <br>
<br>
I believe younger generations don't care as much about their lineage
because it does not effect their future as much as it did in previous
generations. For instance, I am Norwegian-American, and by knowing a
person's last name (during the 1800s and earlier), you would
automatically know that person's father's first name. Example: Oline
Andersdatter -> father's first name is Anders; Jens Pedersen ->
father's first name is Peder. That information can be very helpful
(especially for genealogy research, ironically). <br>
<br>
I started researching several years ago, but others my age certainly
do not make up a large portion of genealogists; researchers tend to be
forty years old or older. During their generation, the past was
important, talked about, and shared. Today, parents do not share
information about their parents or grandparents and kids do not ask
because history is not interesting to them. The current generation is
all about the here and now, not how we got here. <br>
<br>
Proof that genealogy is popular (but sort of an "underground hobby"): <br>
1999--"Time Magazine even named genealogy as one of the four most
popular topics on the Internet in its 19 April 1999 cover article.
(Sex, finance, and sports were the other three.)"--Genealogical
Society of South Africa <br>
2004--"Genealogy has become more popular than sex, according to
Altavista's top ten search terms list for this week."--The Register
<br>
<br>
Honestly, though, I think you should read "How Popular is Genealogy?"
by Dick Eastman in Eastman's Genealogy Newsletter, 19 February 2009
(http://westggsa.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-popular-is-genealogy.html).
It's opinion-based, but he gives a very good argument for both sides.
Just pretend it is him answering your question on Yahoo! Answers.
answers9: Actually, I think it IS pretty popular. Certainly much more
popular than in the past. My grandma, when asked, always said "we're
Americans". That way of thinking stymied research. Now, I am very
proud to be American but it doesn't mean you can't do genealogy! <br>
<br>
The reasons it isn't as popular as it should be is that people are
lazy or people come to a dead end in research. Also, some people have
relatives who have done most of the research already.
answers10: lol <br>
not around this section, it isn't unpopular. We have many newbie
questions (we all have to start somewhere), but that's ok. <br>
Look at it this way.. it takes a certain type of inquisitive person,
who has enough energy to keep at it, passion to find details and so
forth. <br>
I think the one thing that I find most sad, are those who come here
and want to punch their name in some search engine, and find their
entire ancestry in one shot. And for free, of course. <br>
Don't let the others get to you. Enjoy it, find somewhere to discuss
it and be proud. If you have experience, play around here, and answer
questions. I hardly work my own line anymore.. I get a lot of
satisfaction from helping people here. For the most part, the
"regulars" get to know each other and the spirit of competition is a
friendly one. We don't care as much about the points as we care about
seeing new people find info.

invalid gedcom? genealogy?

answers1: Your file could be corrupt or there could be a problem with
Ancestry in uploading at the moment. It's hard to say. <br>
<br>
Check your file first and if you feel it's fine, you might try
contacting Ancestry tech support about it.
answers2: Make a backup of the file (just in case), and put it aside. <br>
Try exporting a new file from your genealogy program and give it a
different name. Your computer could have had an issue while making
the first file, thus it might be corrupted. <br>
Test the new output file (you could call it testing.ged), then try
importing it BACK into your program as if it came from elsewhere.
Just be sure you are making a new database (separate from your main
file). Thus, if it 'comes' back in with no problem, you know the
problem is not your end. <br>
Something else that is possible is that you have had a normal file,
and resaved it, calling it a .ged file when it isn't. I've done that
even with 20+ yrs computer background. <br>
Or the problem could be at their end, ie server issues, so forth.

Publish family tree genealogy book?

answers1: Just google "self-publishing" firms or contact genealogy
publishing companies. <br>

<br>
<br>
Or, you can simply type it up, print it out, have it bound by a local
printer/binding company.
answers2: ok, some issues. the guy who stated maximum family
individuals tree books are self-printed is many times maximum
outstanding. although, there are some small publishing homes focusing
on family individuals tree and family individuals and local histories.
I recommend Janaway Genealogies or Higginson Books in case you elect
something printed. once you pass to placed up a e book for publishing,
keep a replica for your self. make useful the e book is finished. do
no longer say "i'm engaged on a e book, and that i'm about 0.5 done,
and its about my G-G-G-G-Gfather's log cabin, which had....". That
e-mail will be deleted precise now. you should write down it your self
if it is about your relatives. Having a 2d party write it for you may
be a waste of time, when you consider that probably you recognize the
topic count a lot extra functional than a non-chum.
answers3: Download your own freeware, FH software then you can
research and cite all your ancestry, there is some on here <a
href="http://familytimeline.webs.com/apps/links/"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://familytimeline.webs.com/apps/link...</a>
answers4: There are three genealogy programs that are all about the
same. All run on PCs, not Macs. All are about $29. They are Roots
Magic (my favorite), Legacy, and Family Tree Maker. All allow many
generations. All will create "Ancestors of" or "Descendants of" a
given person. <br>
<br>
I know RM will "print" to your screen, or a text file, RTF file or PDF
file. What I do is open the RTF file in Word, tweak the margins, and
send it to Kinko's. They do an excellent job and offer a wide variety
of bindings and covers. I assume the others will too; if you buy a
Ford, Chevy or Dodge, you can be reasonably assured you'll be able to
get one with A/C and a radio. All the different makes of genealogy
programs have about the same features too. <br>
<br>
You'd have to buy the program, download your Ancestry.com file as a
GEDCOM, import it into your program, then start adding generations.
<br>
<br>
The retired computer programmer in me tells me that NO program will
allow you "unlimited" generations; all programs have limits. But, you
are fooling yourself if you go back before 1650 or so, which, at 30
years (average) per generation, is 12 generations. <br>
<br>
If scientists ever invent a time machine that can sample DNA and you
did manage to get your family tree back to Homo Erectus, your
genealogy program would, at some point, fail. Maybe at generation 128,
maybe at 256, maybe 1024; but it would fail.
answers5: It isn't free but the software Family Treemaker makes it
very easy to record and then self-publish - Just you, your computer,
your printer and a copy shop to bind it.

Song u used for your wedding party dance?

time to "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban. We didn't have a wedding
party dance.
answers2: father/daughter: what a wonderful world <br>
wedding party: into the mystic <br>
EDIT: i forgot to add first dance song: everything changes by staind
answers3: Frank Sinatra- Just the way you look tonight <br>
Boys II Men- Song for Mama <br>
Young MC- Bust a move
answers4: Why not choose one song and have the mc announce each group
to the dance floor. <br>
<br>
First the bride and groom, then the attendants and groomsmen and last
but not least the parents. Then the bride and groom and parents can
change during the song and take up with either parent.
answers5: For a wedding party dance its more about finding something
that reflects your friendships and relationships with those people. A
popular selection is the "Friends" theme. Its "I'll be there for you"
by the Rembrandt's. As for parents, if it is all biological and
everyone is still married, "Remember When?" By Alan Jackson is a great
song(even if you don't like country give it a listen). If they're not
still together but you want to do a father-stepmother,
mother-stepfather etc dance, you might want to talk to them about what
they feel is appropriate.
answers6: My son's wedding he & I danced to I'll Always Be Your
Mother. The father/daughter was an Italian song sung in Italian.
Their dance was Shania Twain From This Moment.

What are some authors like Michael Crichton?

answers1: Dan Brown is a good option <br>
<br>
If you like Michael Chrichton then read Timeline. It is awesome
answers2: I don't think there is an author alive that writes the way
Michael Crichton did. Here are a few authors that are somewhat
similar: <br>
<br>
Robin Cook <br>
Tom Clancy <br>
Michael Palmer <br>
Ridley Pearson
answers3: You might try some of the novels by Douglas Preston and
Lincoln Child. Relic is the first one of their series. There's a

answers7: This Site Might Help You. <br>
<br>
RE: <br>
What are some authors like Michael Crichton? <br>
Crichton&#39;s my favorite author. Who are some other authors whose
style is like his or King&#39;s dark tower series?
answers8: Crichton had an amazing ability to combine good action
scenes with complex scientific theories to make exciting action packed
novels that were easily accessible to a large audience. Or at least,
that's how I think of him. <br>
Along those same lines I have found that the works of James Rollins
have the same sort of concept to them, but they're even more action
packed. It is seriously like reading an action movie, but there is
also discussion of complex theories like quantum physics and mysteries
of the ancient world. The books are really well paced and never feel
bogged down with page after page of exposition or explanation. <br>
I don't know if I'd say that Rollins has a similar writing style to
Crichton, but I really, really like his books and I really, really
liked most of Crichton's writing too, so... take that to mean whatever
you want it to mean.
answers9: The Last Child by John Hart...this book is SO good...it will
keep you turning those pages until you are through!

teenage girl who want to become authors?

answers1: It's about a girl like me who lives in my town and her
friends are like my friends but the story is much different. <br>
<br>
If I had a good idea about a good story, why would I tell you? don't
take it personally though, son... <br>
<br>
I haven't really found a good enough idol yet... I like George Orwell
and Ray Bradbury though. Except my book ideas have nothing to do with
political satire or dystopia or science fiction. Try reading books
that, while they might have nothing to do with what you think you'll
write about, simply have good writing and styles you admire.
answers2: Well I'm not a girl, but I'm a teenager. <br>
I write about fantasy and very original plots. I don't really want to
talk about it cause I'm planning on publishing it. My idol is Tolkien.
I mean he is the greatest author of fantasy. A good story would be one
that is balanced. Meaning it has love, adventure, action and mystery
or fantasy.
answers3: I write about whatever I want. It's normally teen fiction or
horror. I have one story I'm writing about it's a love story and the
conflicts in the couples relationship as well as some other really
harsh things their friends are dealing with. <br>
I'm writing a novel about depression, drug abuse, not fitting in at
school and having teachers and classmates out to get you. <br>
One of my other novels has to female protagonists that are friends and
have both had hard lives as kids. The parents abused them, raped them
or had addcitions. <br>
Many of my other novels deal with rape. <br>
Some even deal with suicide. <br>
<br>
My idol is Stephen King. I don't really base my work off of his but I
do admire all that he's done and everything he's accomplished. <br>
<br>
As for what would make a good story. That's what you as the author
have to decide. I write for me and no one else. And while I hope to be
published on day if I'm not then that's fine too. <br>
You decide what makes your story. It has to be what's right for you. <br>
They're is so much more to a story then just a plot. There's the
setting, the characters, how you choose to write the point of view,
what happened in the characters past, and so many more elements.
answers4: I just started a story about a boy who wants to find his
father and a girl who stars in a B-movie (I dulled those down to
protect my plots), but I'll write about anything. <br>
<br>
I think a good story needs pain, on the part of both the characters
and the author (in a sort of informative solidarity, kind of). And
conflict. And originality. Or at least a creative twist on an old
theme. <br>
<br>
I guess I admire writers who use their experience to enrich their
writing, like Tim O'Brien. But I don't really read more books by him
than books by anyone else. Heh.
answers5: I'm 19 so I'm barely a teenager but... <br>
1) I want to make people think so in the book I'm working on God is
the antagonist. <br>
2) Something intelligent that makes people question what they know. <br>
3) Markus Zusak
answers6: im writing about love <br>
i dont like to say my story plots <br>
and my role models would be <br>
1. stephenie meyer bc she gets an A+ for writing about love. <br>
2. sarah dessen bc she writes amazing teenage girl books. and each
girl has a different personality and she puts love in there also.

Teenage Author?

answers1: Well, I ran a GOogle search and this came up: <br>
<a href="http://jed.com/" rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://jed.com/</a> <br>
<br>
Doesnt seem like a teenager to me! As far as the author status is, I
have not heard about any such author or any of his books. <br>
<br>
<a href="http://www.jedelkins.com/home.html"
rel="nofollow"class=Clr-b>http://www.jedelkins.com/home.html</a> <br>
It seems to be a self-published book and that does not make him an
author. Anyone with enough money can publish his own book.
Self-publishing doesnt make you an author. <br>
<br>
TW K
answers2: Looks like a self-published douche to me. <br>
<br>
If this kid were an "author" he would know to just post his first
chapter as his excerpt, not chapter 4 or 9. And you just post it, you
don't make it a downloadable file. Nobody trusts a teenager enough to
download some garbage from his site. <br>
<br>
And self-publishing doesn't make you an "author." A lazy writer,
sure, I'll buy that. But any moron with some money to toss into a
toilet can self-publish.
answers3: Sorry, haven't heard of him. :-) It's so cool that he got a
book published and he's like a teenager though! :-)
answers4: Is he self-published, or online published?
answers5: Idk, but you must read Twilight!!!!1 The best b00ks evurrrrr!!!!!
answers6: I had not heard of him till you mentioned his name. But he
does have a web site.

twilight : the movie or the book?

answers1: 100% the book i didn't love the movie but i didn't hate it
they cut too many scenes, and how people met was all wrong. also
kirsten seem bored throught the whole movie.
answers2: the book <br>
<br>
by a long shot
answers3: the book of course but of course the movie was good too
answers4: Personally, I think the books are always better than the
movies made after them. <br>
<br>
The movie may have been good but if you read the book first, its better. <br>
When you read the book first you create images in your mind of what
they look like and watching the movie it changes things and so a lot
of people don't like that. <br>
<br>
Everyone's different though.
answers5: ummm i like the book better, because theres more detail, and
its just better <br>
<br>
but the movie was not bad at ALL!!!! <br>
<br>
new moon dec. 09 <br>
hellz yeaaa!!
answers6: book by far!
answers7: The movie was really good. But things were really rushed so
i think i liked the book better.
answers8: I thought the movie was really good. It's good enough to see
it more than once. <br>
<br>
However, I enjoyed the book MUCH more. The book lets your imagination
run wild, and picture everything the way you want to. A movie gives
you an image that you have to follow. Also, the book was a bit more
suspenseful and dramatic. Plus, a movie can't just stand there for
three minutes explaining how beautiful Edward Cullen is :) <br>
<br>
Haha, hope I answered your question :)
answers9: THE BOOK! they skipped a bunch of scenes and not to mention
mixed things up. but nonetheless the movie was incredibly awesome!
Carlisle is stunning, he just pops out and i hear every girl just
gasp, i had to try to remember how to breathe lol
